Ear candling is a practice found in a number of ancient cultures and is said to be effective at treating headaches, tinnitus, vertigo, stress and a host of other inflammations. If you feel like your thoughts are foggy, ear candling can be a great way to clear your head.

An ear candle is a hollow cone usually made of linen, beeswax or soy wax that creates a vacuum in the ear in order to draw out any excess ear wax.

What to expect:

First, your therapist asks you to lie on your side and places a plate over your face and ear to stop the excess wax from burning you.

Your therapist gently inserts one end of the candle into your ear at 90 degrees and lights the other end. The crackling sound of the burning candle relaxes your body and mind as the vacuum created draws out the ear wax from your inner ear.

After 10-15 minutes, your therapist asks you to turn over and the same steps are done for your other ear. Your therapist will complete the treatment with a back neck shoulder massage
